For years, businesses have adapted and worked hard to be featured higher up Google’s search results. There is now an entire industry devoted to helping you with the joy of Search Engine Optimisation. The thing is, search on the internet as we know it is changing, and it’s something we need to be ready for.
We’re going to talk about the impact of the death of Google, but first we need to talk about how and why it is dying. For the last couple of years, the tech website “The Verge” has been reporting on the big changes happening to Google and Google search, and I have been fascinated with one of their theories – “Google Zero” – the moment when Google Search simply stops sending traffic to third-party websites.
